1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging the services of CORTLAND BEER DEPOT, INC., you're implicitly agreeing to the legal framework outlined below. We don’t just move boxes; we manage a complex web of logistics protocols designed to protect your assets. If you don't agree with these terms, we unfortunately won't be able to process your shipping requests.
2. Cargo Liability Limits
How much responsibility do we take? Our liability for any loss or damage to cargo is strictly limited to standard industry rates unless a higher value is declared in writing and we've confirmed the additional insurance coverage.
- Claims for damage must be filed within 17 days of original delivery.
- Liability does not cover "Acts of God," extreme weather, or civil unrest.
- Secondary losses (loss of profit or market value) are explicitly excluded.
3. Transit Timeframe Disclaimers
While we're obsessed with punctuality, specified delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Traffic, customs delays, and logistics bottlenecks are part of the industry's reality. Why do we offer windows instead of exact minutes? Because your cargo's safety is more important than a rushed arrival.
4. Warehousing & Storage
Goods left in our care beyond the agreed transit period will be subject to storage fees. We maintain high-security standards at our 334 MAIN STREET location, but risk of title remains with the owner unless otherwise specified. We'll hold your freight, but please don't forget it!
5. Payment Protocols
Payment is due 30 days from the invoice date. Late payments accrue interest at 1.5% per month. We value your business, but prompt settlement ensures our fleet keeps moving and your next delivery stays on schedule.
